massive problem need help

i have just got a nitro car my question is does all nitro cars have pull cored as i dont seem to have found one on mine was wondering how u start it other wise

Some have a roto start, some use bump boxes. Roto starts run with a shaft that you can put in your drill, or a spin tool that will come with the vehicle (RTRs anyway) and with a bump box you set the car/truck on it, push down, and there's a wheel that spins the flywheel to start the engine.

think its a starter box lookin at it any thing i can put on the end of the drill to start it ?

i had a idea i have some spare wheels that have been shredded i was going to put that on a drill bit to start it or is there something better and cheap to get hold off .... rackin my brain but its defently starter box start car

If it's a bump start car, then you need a starter box ;-) A wheel on a drill simply won't spin the flywheel much, if at all. Check the for sale threads around here....or on rctech.net or something. Bumpboxes are pretty cheap used....

Some engines can be converted to pull start as well...but you will spend as much if not more to convert it to pull start sometimes.

can't i take the bump bit off the car to then start it with a drill from the nit on the engine ?

nit i meant nut its lie 3am here and lookin at that engine how big would u say it is ?

Need better pics to tell you more about your engine although from that pic it looks to be a big block.
Does it have any numbers or other identification on the block?

it looks like a very basic engine i managed to get it running a little while ago with flicking it with my finger but now when i hit the throttle it dies a neighbour told me it might be because there is to much oil in the mix but i brought the mix ready mixed but when i was in the shop the guy asked about is it 10 or 16 fuel i need i got the 16 and if thats true ill try the 10 but seems a very basic engine early type were theres like a fuel tube coming from the top of it going bk into the fuel tank and 2 metal pipes coming from the bottom of the engine ill try take or find a picture ( closest )

so can any one tell me if it could be 2 much oil in the fuel mix as going to buy the 10% mix in just over a couple hours if this is the case that the car dies when i throttle it

if it dies when you hit the gas, it is probably poorly tuned. there is a tuning flowchart on this forum that will help you a ton.

10% mix actually has less nitro in it, and more oil/other stuff. if you bought 16% i would stick with that. 20% would be better.
