I wanted a meaner look to go with the Humm-V body, and not only did it look good, but also added a double layer of protection. The bumpers came off a small Newbrite electric toy R/C, and were as wide as the car.
Both are mounted upside down on the Humm-V, and needed no screws. The front one required very little change, but the rear needed a lot of cutting with a dremmel. With the Traxxas bumpers and supports, they are held on with zip ties. Rock solid. I now have handles to carry it with.
Check them out in my gallery and let me know what you think.

wow, what a brush guard. lol. lets see how long that bumper holds up. i remember from the old days, those bumpers on those electric cars didnt stand up against anything. nice hummer though.

Those bumpers have already taken some really good beatings since I put them on. They are NOT crisp plastic, but have a nice flex to them. It seems they help to absorb the impact before the Tmaxx bumpers underneath take the load.
By the way, in the rear photo, the bumper looks crooked. It's on straight, but the photo is somewhat distorted by a 35mm lens.
