ok again I'm a noob but lookin at some upgrades, jus got my truck sat and a few things are showing needed upgrades and other things for those little bling factors! so imma post up things I'm thinkin bout lookin into anyone who knows anything post up and tell me what ya think per subject, thanks!

ok I'm seeing little nos bottles I'm told it helps vaccum well does it help anything out really? if so its worth the 10 bucks to me to have a cool lookin nos can but if its not really got a function crapp on the money waste!

I'm seein the lockers? thinkin bout only one for the rear, i dont hardly do pavement so not worried bout eatin rubbers, any thoughts?

seeing a clutch upgrade, I'm thinkin ill hit gear faster and that might help out wheelies right off the line better?

rpm plastic A-arms up front? stronger than stock of course but how strong are the stocks?(also not lookin to ever do aluminum other than maybe frame braces and or some sort of roll bar for the engine area already picked the one i want from new era for jus around the engine not the whole truck)

sway bars? these things are clearly a lil top heavy and have sensitive steering but i wanna be able to take the corners jus a little faster nothin major but more than jus no throttle slow down turns!

is there any safe way to widen my tmaxx 3.3 a little but not using wheel spacers? not tryin to beaner it out jus want a little more stability(the sway bar would prolly help but what else is out there)

well this is all i can think of at the moment but I'm sure ill think of other stuff, and yeah i've searched on some things but jus reading product descriptions dont do a whole lot i like to hear what people have used and how it worked for them under there driving conditions! thanks in advance again dont flame, I'm jus a noob tryin to get the most out of my truck and enjoy the sport!

Nos bottle...no
Lockers.......yes, off road
Clutch upgrade...yes
RPM A-arms...Absolutely!
Sway bars....questionable
Wider stance...offset wheels

thanks, any draw backs to these possible upgrades? will that locker snap my axels? or drive shaft? how hard is the clutch upgrade to instal and exactly which kit should i get? the traxxas one or something else? and should a wait to break an a-arm before upgrade or is it one them things if it does break its gonna break other stuff to thus prolly being smarter to swap before i break!?

Wait for others with the tried and tested recommendations for preferred brands.
Clutch upgrade is a simple procedure.
You don't need to totally lock the diff. Some use very thick oil or even silly putty to provide some limited slip with a degree of safety for the running gear.
You will break the Traxxas A-arms, but run them till then. Keep the RPMs in stock. They take a real beating while still providing a flex when needed. It's the alloy arms that will transfer the shock to another part.

Rolex has you on the right path on all points.

I ran new era's 3-point roll bar back in the day and it did a great job. Their new ones that go towards the rear to protect the engine are even better.

I tried full-force sway kit once on my maxx. It did it's job really well, but it would still traction roll pretty easy. The off set wheels will help you there. RPM makes some nice ones. Look for "stablemaxx" at tower:

Those are RPM's off set rims. Not sure if they have any 3.8 wheels though (revo style 3.8" vs old school maxx 3.2" style).

That said, you had better pick up some RPM axle carriers with larger bearings or at the very least stock up on some axle bearings as the wider off set wheels will put a hurting on them. You should be able to find some suitable replacement bearings here: http://www.kickassrc.com/

yeah I'm hearin rpm is pretty much the top out there and that amazess me seeing how cheap they are compared to some others out there! yeah I'm diggin the engine cage by new era and i like how ya only gotta mod the bod a little bit to still use the truck body! i think imma start with some sway bars before i try the wheels, i take turns semi slow but sometimes i jus want it to hug a turn bout half throttle and not slip and jus let her eat!

that worked for you? looks like it would bind the suspension from flex at all! i want a sway kit that al;lows enough flex but not too much! what you thiunk of that kit?

It worked fine and does it's job. It forces both arms to raise when one arm raises. When you push both arms up at the same time, they raise with no extra resistance. When you push one up, you get the resistance of it trying to lift the other side.

Granted, it's not adjustable by using a thicker/thinner rod like typical sway bars, but it did it's job. The only thing I didn't care for was that it wore pretty quick and got sloppy. But, considering the loose tolerances on a MT, a little slop doesn't hurt much.
