Is there a way to tell what year a traxxas model was made without the owners manual? Thanks

If there's a serial number sticker on the chassis, maybe. Or you could probably tell with how old the electronics are, what hardware or what kind of parts the car has. Traxxas rarely changes things so it can be hard to tell.

I'll probably run the serial number and check. It is a Rustler VXL 2wd with the old traxxas controller and body. Thanks for the help

There are various ways to determine the range of years, but I'm not sure if you can pinpoint the exact year.
