I brought a truggy roller off of ebay and I need to know whats the best electronics to put in it. I been looking at the Mamba Monster Motors/ESC systems and I need to know whats the difference between the 2200kv and the 2650 kv motors. They both are the same price so I wanna know which would be better in a truggy. If there is another Motor/ESC system for a truggy please let me know. I'm new to brushless so I also need to know if 4s or 6s is the way to go. I'm not gonna race it just bash with the boys. Thanks.

What truggy exactly did you get? That will make a difference in recommending 4s or 6s and motor option.

I brought a ofna jamming x2 crt that was converted to electric, I paid less than 200 for it. I figured this was the best way to see if I liked brushless instead of dropping big money for a new kit.

For my use, I'd go with the 2200kV and the 6s. But then again, I'm kind of crazy and all of my brushless rigs are over-powered.

I go x2 with hamz. 2200 on 6s in a truggy will rip pavement and hopefully still run some what cool. Congrats on the new rig, I was worried it was gonna be an ebay brand thats what I asked lol, 2s might be too much in some cheap rigs.

Is buying a used Motor/ESC a good idea or should I just go ahead and buy new?

It can be iffy. Good chance of it being used heavily but no physical signs of it, bearings go out, could have been over heated a bunch too. If you can afford new, its a win win. Plus having the reciept for it being purchased new will be needed if you have to send it to castle for repair.

Yeah bro that's what I was thinking, one more question, what about gearing, pinion/spur? Again I'm not a racer cause there are really no tracks in the Miami area that I know about, so I'm just into bashing and going fast with the fellas. THANKS bro for the help!!

sorry but I'm no help there. Gonna depend on what you run, 4s or 6s. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

If you’re just bashing 4S is the way to go IMO. I see it every weekend I’m at the track, guys running 4S run/bash consistently all day. Guys pushing it running 6S are usually working on something:)
Even if you were racing offroad, 6S and 2200KV is a handful and most often too much for most tracks unless you have a good feel for throttle control.
It’s nice to have the power on tap but sucks when you can't use it.

I'll just fool around with different pinion/spur/battery combo till I find what I like. I think I'm gonna get a 4s and 6s lipo. Thanks for the input guys.
