Hey, I tried running my mamba and I am not able to go full throttle right away, and reverse hardly works. it takes just the right touch. I noticed if I try to go faster to sudden, the motor kind of shuts off in a sense. Is this cogging? I am using the mamba 6800 with stock wiring, deans ultras, and stock rc18t battery pack. Thanks
-Pat

your problem is the stock battery pack the mamba likes a little more juice then the stock pack can give, have you gone through the set up of your esc to, i personally am getting the usb link to program my esc, so much easier then going by the audibles of the esc.

yes, I have the usb cord. I have it programmed to how I want it, but still does this problem.

You need a lipo battery..The stock bat is not enouf To power the mamba BL..Thus causeing the cogging..
Itsme and myself are useing lipos 7.4 volt 1800mah

u dont need lipo batteries. I know plenty of people that run 6 cell packs and they work fine.

The stock battery may not be enough, I will agree with you on that, but you dont need lipo. I was just wondering if I need bigger wires or programmed differently.

Get this YOUR stock battery will not work right with the mambaBL Get it...
You are try to squeese OJ out of an apple..Its not going to work right...

you can run more expensive batterys buy why you can get the lipo's for the same price???Or just about..

i just dont feel like spending $50 at least on a battery, and then at least another $120 on a charger.

well it seems you have a little problem here, until you get some funds how do you plan on doing anything about a battery pack. If and when you can get yourself a good gp1100 pack that will give you enough juice to get the set up going.

I use the Apache 2020 for my LiPos, and a Rechargeable Car Starter from Wal-Mart. $55 for both. You can find the 2020 for $24.95 on sale this week.

The absolute most economical route for you to go is to pick up 6 GP1100 cells. GP's can put out power at a higher rate than most other "stock" packs and work well with Mamba's. You'll still get great runtimes plus most of the brushless power you would expect. It's common to find them for about $2.50/cell so 6 plus shipping shouldn't run you more than $20. All you have to do it build the pack.

as a matter of fact.... remember this thread?

If you would have done what I suggested in the first place you wouldn't even have this problem... jackass.
