How do you figure against the rules? You ask how to do something....they tell you the way your doing it and the way to fix it. You say you can't do that, well I'm sorry to tell you that you are SOL! You don't have the best rep here, have pissed off alot of people and they are just tired of the BS.

Guys. I can understand your frustration with Redhatman, but keep in mind that he's just a kid.

well the first thing you need to do is set the esc settings to the lowest.. low take off... low EVERYTHING. trust me it will still be fast.. then you need to pickup a better battery... IE. lipo's, gp 1100 7 cell, 6 cell wahtever... just make sure its a good well known name. either way about it if you have no $$$ your screwed. as the others were saying lipo's are the best way to go... IF you want more answears go to www.one18th.com and do a search.
ps hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes with another forums link ;)
 
thanks nitro, I am making some 7 cell packs as I type. I will try to find some nice thick wire for it. that may help.
 
havent got the chance to try them yet. believe me guys, if i had lots of money i would go lipo right away and buy the car batt and everything, i just can't afford it right now.
 
Ratzo, I realize he's just a kid, but how many times does it take to get the hint? I'm with Zandor on this one, if you do not have the means, why post the question or, better yet, include that little bit of information in the question to begin with? I mean, how hard is it to clarify the question on the front end? Something like, "I have a Mamba 6800 with Deans connections, stock packs, etc. As I do not work due to my age, I am hoping someone here can help me understand why my motor is cogging and suggest some cost-effective alternatives until I can get the funds I need to truly upgrade?"

Pat, quit asking half a question. Being a kid is not an excuse, especially for you.
 
his thought process just doesn't work like that yet. The thing that irritates me is that he's been completley ignoring my suggestions. Take his last post in this thread for example... he doesn't need all that crap! All he needs is a quality NiMh battery pack, that's it. problem solved. He doesn't need a car battery, he doesn't need a special charger for Lipo, he don't need any of that bullshit. I've been trying to give him sincere advice considering his performance needs and financial situation and he just blows it off everytime. This kid can go pound sand.

I wasn't defending him for the question asking.
I see what went on here, and can understand the frustration of you guy's.
The "he's just a kid" comment was used because of the name calling that was starting.
