So one friday afternoon, my Nitro Engine ends up pulling the plug on itself. Loses compression, I can't stop it, and it was burning extremely hot and fast, I ended up pulling the fuel line, big mistake...

Brand new spark plug too! :(

MY question is I have this engine here, But the manifold will not connect to the engine. Any help?

I'll add more questions as these get solved. The engine was revving so high that the bolts that connected the engine to the body fell off and the engine was loose. It was super hot too, The nitro fuel that spilled out of the tank went on the heat sink and sizzled away.

Any help fellas?

well I'm gonna guess that youve tried to tighten the two bolts?? I hope so!!! ahaha

Do the bolt holes not line up 100%? If so drill them out on the header, you can even use a body reamer. You might could rig up some header springs....Bolting a header to a nitro engine is a horrible idea to me. Too much vibration. Spring mounted headers are the way to go but I know they do not make anything likke that for that type of engine/exhaust config.

Ok, with the header being threaded you have to run the screws in from the other side of the engine so it will pull the header to the engine. Then I always use a 3mm locknut to keep the header screws from backing off and faling out while running. I also do not see a gasket in that pic, make sure you use an exhaust gasket when you do reattach the header.

I took it out once, and there was a weird seal that broke apart, I don't know if it helped, I don't think it keeps a complete seal with out that odd thing. Anyone know?

NCNitro is right, the bolts go in from the other side!!!

Okay, now that I got that attached, I got the engine setup. I pull the pull start and it will hesitate to rewind. It slowly rotated and then it will completely go around. HELP?

It's not the pull start, it's the wheel that's connected to the engine, the flywheel I guess, it not smooth when I spin it.

going back to your first post... how did you engine just happen to lose compression in the middle of running it? and in the pictures with the O.S. it looks like the flywheel is sitting really far away from the crankcase. Are you sure its on all the way, that could be why it doesn't rotate smoothly.

I think it lost compression, Heat was coming out the top of it, and it was screaming too. The engine was going so strong the bolts felt out that were holding it on.

I have two engines, I got the glow plug hot enough and and hell broke lose. It's the first time I got it started too. The engine that lost compression is nothing now, I'm still trying to attach the second engine but it's confusing.

i have the same car just the ss model. the exhaust bolts run from the inside of the motor to the out side and mine has lock nuts on them. are you having problems with it mounting to the frame? if you dont have a manual i would try to find one online in pdf form.
