Well the weather cleared up enuff to go attempt to get my new toy running, after working on getting the water pump to pump water this thing fired up and was ready to go after some visual inspections to make sure it wasn't going to sink and everything was working right i took to the water holy crap what a blast this thing is its like a small jetski plenty of power and controllabilty it will turn on a dime as you will see in the vid later, here's a pic to tied you over for now.

oh hell yeah we need a raft as you will see in the vid we had to wait for boat to come back to us i was contemplating going in after it and then i thought about my soldier bbrrrrrrrr!! lol!ZANDOR said:

The Traxxas Nitro V has an RTS (return to shore) system built in. Pull the throttle lever all the way down and it engages an electric motor to drive it in if it stalls.
The other option is to stand in a downwind position, and it will eventually come back to you.

my soldier would've been tiny if i attempted a sea rescue, yeah i need to figure out some kinda of retrieval system that suxed waiting for the wind to blow it close enuff to the shore were i could grab it, but hey it gave me a chance to reflect on what i need before the next time i take it out I'm thinking a raft for now that should make recovery a little easier.
haha, that was some funny stuff. I will work on the vid on Monday, I am recovering from the nuke that zandor set off in the members area. That boat rocks nice and fast with great rooster tails of water.

get a cheapo electric to push it in like $50 for it that would save a lot of headaches and could entertain the little ones if you have any

yeah I just went out last night with the g/f and parents and her's too on the pontoon boat( I live on a big, to me, lake, and I was thinking about how calm the water was and how much fun it would be to have a nitro boat)
I live back about 1/2 mile into a bay so the water is really calm in the mornings and in the evenings it would be great to have one of those boats ripping up and down the bay and chasing off the geese, everyone hated them all they do is :constipat on everything!

The guy I bought my Tmaxx from a while back, thats all he used it for.. Thing looked like brand new.. Luckily he cleaned off any goose poop that was on it..lol But Yeah i know what your sayin. At my cabin we have 3 lakes (One on each side of my land)(80acres) and I could have LOTS of room to zip around.
