Hey, I was at menards yesterday in the auto section and found a stainless steel magnetic tray made by "Tool Shop". It's 5-5/8 wide by 9-3/8 long and 1" deep with two 3" dia. magnets on the outside bottom of the tray. PERFECT for this hobbie with all those small screws ect. Don't have to worry about tipping your tray over anymore, there not going anywhere, and It's only five buck! Just thought I would share this info. Sorry if everyone knows about these and has one already. I just thought it would help someone out.

Sounds pretty cool Pee Wee. I am going to Lowes today, I might have to check to see if they have them.

While your at it, pick up one of these....

These work great in this hobby, allowing you magnetize any driver or allen keys to hold your screws... Beware though, they wont work with a Stainless screw kit.....

Yeah I have one of those already but I havent magnetized anything yet because I heard that if you use something magnetized around your electronics it could screw them up. Have you heard of this.

Well, I haven't had any problems on my rides, but I wouldnt go taking apart a Tx/Rx with it....

How much were the magnetic trays going for?

Here is a cheap mat that works for me. Just use an old big fluffy beach blanket to work on.

---Not only will it catch all the screws & nuts, but it will also help keep your kitchen table clean - (and a clean kitchen table means less aggrevation from the wife) :doc:

Later....

I use the very same sort of tray that is first mentioned. The only problem that I have run into with it is that I tend to let poop collect in there ya know after you are done stripping down the ride and putting it back together and wind up with extra screws and stuff. Now it's full. None the less it has been an invaluable tool for me to have.

Digital Liquid, I payed less then $5 bucks for it.
