Thats an odd looking pipe looks kinda like the add-on TRX pipe. Which is even funnier because a guy at on of the LHS hear said they make it scream but I didn't pay him much attention cause he is a lhs dipshit imho...X

I find it hard to believe most of us know more about this hobby then hobby shop owners. One guy at my lhs knows what I'm talkin about and the other guy thinks I'm smokin crack. Its amazing how not up to date they are and how they spend no time on the internet.

Bloodred I am like C I am liking you more and more. Man I have 3 lhs in a 15-45 minute radius one way. Used to be one 3 minutes away he went bust because he didn't know poop from shinola. I mean talk about some stupid ass people. There is one guy out of all three lhs that actually knows anything around here and hes a old man. Anyway thats the way it seems you have about 9 dipshits in lhs' for every one guy that is cool and knows something. I mean even if these peckers read a magazine now and then they would have an idea but you think they must try to avoid stuff sometimes. X

I got a couple hobby shops in the area but i only go to one of them. I now order most of my stuff online even if they have it down there. The one guy at my lhs which is the younger one said his older brother (like 60 some) knows more about nitro then he does and the older one does not know jack poop. My neighbor called down there one day and asked if they had a replacement tx. pro .15 and they said no and hung up. If they were smart they would of said no we dont have one but we have one that has some more power for just a little bit more. There was an open building for rent next to their hobby shop and i told my neighbor i wanted to start my own hobby shop business strickely for r/c cars right next to them because i know i could make more money. Plus i search the internet alot and are aware of current updates unlike those fools down at my lhs.

Finding a good hobby shop is like finding a diamond in a bag of charcoal, a rare if not impossible occurance.

I am fortunate to have not only an excellent hobby shop nearby, but one that has an extremely knowledgeable group of RC hobbyists as employees. These guys almost always have the right stuff in stock and always seem to have the answers to my questions regarding new hop-ups. Heck most of the time they have the new hop-up and a few others in stock.

I buy almost all of my stuff from them (call it supporting small business, but I like the fact that they have exactly what I am looking for on hand). As for keeping current, I am impressed with the amount of knowledge my fellow hobbyists on-line have and always look to the forums for pointers and opinions/reviews prior to buying. To date, I have only had one major catastrophe with my T-Maxx (broken bulkheads on a freezing cold day...should have gotten those aluminum bulks back in the Summer as planned).

Anyway, guess I'm trying to say check with your buds on this site and others you might find useful prior to hitting the LHS. It always pays to have useful information in hand when dealing with the LHS. Thanks guys for all the help in the past, present, and maybe in the future. Good luck in your quest for that diamond of a LHS...I found mine, you might too.

If i could only find that diamond i would support them to. I would rather help out the little guys then give more money to the rich guys.

On one instance i asked them about a hump pack and stuff to run instead of running the AA's and the one that is supposed to know more about nitro then the one that i believe does said, no you can't it wont work. You would have to recharge before a tanks up and stuff. And i agree'd with him and then bought my steel spur and left.

This thread seens to have drifted, but I agree about finding a good Hobby shop. I have 3 within a 20 mile radius. 1 is right near my house, but they are very over priced and have little to no knowledge. (I use them to buy Nitro Wash and that's about it!) Another one is near the track I run at and they are even worse. (I use them only in emergencys. The guy reminds me of the Butt Head that runs the comic book store on The Simpsons! [He even looks like him]) The third is the farthest from my house and that's where I get all my stuff. They are great people, good prices and will help you out of any trouble you may be in. Hell, they'll even come out and run with us every now and then! It's definatly worth the 1/2 hour drive!!

I have to drive nearly an hour each way to get to either of two hobbyshops, and unfortunately they are both hobby towns They both SUCK! Then there is this dinky little shop about 20 min from my house he has NO nitro stock at all, other than fuel, he kind of caters to pan car and electric tc guys, anyway he is a really nice guy, not very knowledgable about nitro but will order just about anything I need or want, and usually have within 5 working days. Also matches towers price. So I always try to get anything I can from him, or its the internet for everything else. I wish I could find that diamond.
