View attachment 13097Okay I have decided to use my pretty much new Mach .26 I had on a shelf queen. It was a Dynamite BB conversion. It used the factory Tmaxx clutch setup. My issue is it has this two piece design crank. I want to use a Hpi savage clutch and flywheel so I can use a 1/8th clutch setup. Would this two piece crank work with the HPI setup. I mocked everything up with some used savage clutch shoes and flywheel it looked liked it would work. Just getting some input.

i'm assuming that a 1/8 setup would be the same as the traxxas setup to a certain degree.
when I did my bb maxx I used the traxxas pilot nut ,I had to cut the crank down (force .28) and simply put it together the regular way, took a bit to get the crank to the right length.i'm still running the stock clutch and haven't had any problems but the truck doesn't get used regularly.
I also had to put some shims behind the flywheel to get the spur to mesh ,i'm using a flm ice chassis with a 4909 spec trans if it helps

Yah my camera does not like up close pics. That engine from what I have learned is a pilot shaft engine. I put everything together last night seems to work. I installed it and checked the gear mesh. Everything fits nice without any problems. I have seen on other forums that people had to cut down the shat for clearance. Guess I got lucky cause there is a ton of clearance on this setup.
