Up for sale is "Old Faithful.
Its a well used M8 Transmitter with a 75 Fm Module.
I have been using this unit for several years and it has never let me down. Its in GREAT condition. Some minor surface scratches and is missing the display slider. (Never Missed It) Its as clean as can be and is 100% functional.

I have always wiped it down and stored it it a Trinity carrying case that I will include in the sale. Unit has never been dropped or damaged in any way. Out of a 10 I will give it a 9. If it wasn't missing the display slider, I would give it a 9.5

I should keep it for a backup but know I will never use it. I just upgraded to the M11 and want to find this one a new home. She has treated me well and I'm sorry to see her go.

I will post some photos later tonight or tomorrow.

125.00
Includes TX module and Trinity carrying case.
Need to add shipping.

Spektrum is not 75 FM. Spektrum is an upgrade. What Ed is selling is just a 75 FM MHz Module with the M8.

This would work with Crystals but you can also upgrade it to spektrum later if you wish. You would need to buy the Spektrum upgrade kit that fits this radio. You can get it with an RX if you do not have it.

You will need Batteries, receiver, and a set of crystals.
The sale is for the Transmitter, FM module, battery holder, Carrying case and a manual (On disk or printed your choice.)

I will post detailed pictures late in the afternoon tomorrow.

You will need to get a Sanwa computable RX and Crystal set.
I like the Novak XXL (Sanwa) or The Airtronics M8 receiver. They are available on E-Bay or Tower.

A good start would be some proper spelling and at least half an attempt at proper sentence structure, grammar, etc. Your posts are difficult to read and the chat shorthand is not necessary on a forum.

Aside from that little issue, this is a great radio being sold by one of the experts on this forum. It is in great condition and is a much better radio than the Traxxas TQ3. You will not be disappointed.

Drivers have won more races with this radio then all others put together from the beginning of time.

If you can't understand the directions I posted a link to, and aren't able to ask questions about what part of them you don't understand, then this radio is most likely not the one for you.

Hey Eddy that is a sweet controller. I'm curently in the market for one. :ponder2: So let me get this right the cover that goes over the reciver on the back is MIA. Thats a sweet controller for someone. I'm lookin for a synthesized unit though.

There used to be a little black metal cap on the module that covers the crystal. They put this on so you can't change the crystals out and expect you to buy an new module for every channel. By removing the little cap, all you now need to do is swap a crystal.

What is truly missing is the Display slider on the front of the radio. Look at the first picture, above and to the left of the wheel. As long as I have had the radio I never had the need to use the display slider and honestly can't even tell you what it does.

The Display Slider is used to turn on the "Backlight" feature of the radio. In the year or so that I've used my M8, I've never needed to use the backlight.

I'm going to e-mail Airtronics and see if they can send me on.
Like I said, I never missed it.

Actually, that depends on the rendition of the M8; the earlier ones (like mine), it's not backlit. However, the newer ones are.

The "display" switch basically turns the radio on without transmitting, so you can make adjustments in the pit without sending out signals. A very handy feature, but hardly used.

Either way, ya can't go wrong; FastEddy is a great person to deal with!
