Does anyone know where I can buy aluminum turnbuckle ends that will fit the 4mm x 92mm lunsford titanium turnbuckles for the Losi LST2/XXL. GPM used to carry them but theyve been discontinued.

BTW, did you guys know the GPM and Hot Racing are the same company? I emailed Hot Racing about their turnbuckle ends and I got an email back from GPM about them being discontinued lmao. I did not know that.

Not sure what that rig uses but I always use Large Revo ends for any of my 4mm links.

If you need longer, the jato ends are longer.

Thanks SNG but I was hoping for aluminum ends. I have the plastic ones for my LST2 and my XXL but now that I have lunsford turnbuckles and aluminum steering knuckles the weak link now is the plastic rod ends. At least thats what I broke one of the last times I was out with my LST2. Maybe it was just a fluke and they really dont brake that often. Unless you think the revo ones are superior to the LST2 ends?

I run RPM rods ends on all of my rigs now and love them. I dont know if this is the right set for yours or not but if it is you can't beat the price.

From what i understand those ends are for 3.5mm rods and you have to buy a very specific size of Lunsford ball studs which I would probably try if they were made for 4mm rods instead of 3.5mm

I'm not 100% but if I remember right my revo had 4mm turnbuckle and Hot racing has aluminum turnbuckle ends

Both of these are for shock shafts and even if they fit on the end of my lunsofrd rods they appear to be quite a bit shorter than the stock LST2 rod ends.

Thanks guys but unless someone can shed some light on these items here that I'm not aware of or taking into account i dont think any of them are quite what I'm looking for.

You want alum ends? yuk. lol. Check rc4wd, they used to have a selection of alum. rod ends in different sizes.

Why is that yuck? The plastic ones dont seem to hold up all that well. Out of all the tie rods I've broken at least 2 of them broke at the plastic end.

I've just never had luck with alum. ends, a piece of dirt or anything gets in there and they jam up. Water rusts or whatever you wanna call it on alum, them up too.

Hmmm good question. Since losi hardware is goofy compared to most. I'm thinking they are all still the same thread and pitch though, they just usually have different head sizes.

I guess when I get home I'll pull one from my savvy and see how it matches up with one from my LST2.

All this drying up of after market parts though is seriously making me wonder if I shouldnt sell off my Losi MTs but IMO (and I'm sure there are those that will argue this) the Losi MTs are better than the MGT and the TMAXX/REVO. The only one I consider its equal its the Savage and only its its ability to take punishment. The Losi's actually handle way better. I have a Savvy already though so if I sold my Losi's and I dont want one from Traxxas or the MGT, what else is left? Anything worth mentioning?
