What do you use to lube the o-rings in a carb when your cleaning? The high speed o-ring(s), low speed o-ring(s) and carb neck o-ring(s) as you put them back in. So they don't bind and tear?

I used a light oil, and now i can't get my high speed needle to hold a setting. This is on an OS 21 RG-X(P).

I've taken it back out and cleaned it off with alchohol and put some plumbers pipe tape on the threads of the needle when i put it back in. I didn't think this would be a good time to use thread lock, since it may be in contact with fuel.

Thanks.

No,No,No,No,
Don't use any pipe tape. It will disintegrate and clog everything up.

To lube the gaskets use fuel. It contains oil and wont damage anything. You can also use WD40 or after run oil.

Clean the poop out of your engine and carb to remove ALL the tape.

Cool, thanks. I haven't run it yet so i wasn't sure. It's sitting on my table begging to be broken.

How does it dissinegrate, i thought it was teflon.
