LST2 upgrade.

Okay so right now I'm making my list of stuff that I want for my LST2. This is what I have so far.

FOC Tranny
Wing Kit
Dynamite engine brace
All 3 Heavy duty Skid plates
Heavy duty diff cups
High performance brake pads.
Xray 35mm Sping steel turnbuckles. (RPM Arms)


Anything else I should get/shouldn't get? Also, what oil should I be putting in my diffs? I'm a strict basher and will probably NEVER see a track.

I run OFNA 50K in my aftershock and really like it. It's like honey, but I really like the positraction that it gives for general bashing. You will rarely get high centered as there is always at least 40% power going to the wheel when the other is in the air spinning.

Looks like a pretty good list, but I wouldn't waste the money on the front/rear HD skids, just the center one. The stockers are cheap and seem to hold up just fine. The center one is nice because it helps protect your spurs and pipe from impacts down below.

Maybe buy the MGT servo savers to use vs the losi ones. They are a bit stiffer and give you better steering.

This is good to hear since I should be receiving my LST2 by next Friday. The stock motor will immediately be replaced with a LRP Z.28 spec 3. I will probably never even start the stock motor.
I am taking notes of your upgrades so I can do them to mine.

The stock engine isn't a bad engine. Mine was an aftershock and the engine on that was ok, but it didn't have the power the LST2 engine has. The LRP28 was a really good choice for me. I'll more than likely have a second by spring for my savage.

Don't dis the Mach 427. What you said is exactly what I HAD said before I got the 427. It's actually a very strong and powerful motor. It's got loads of low end and a decent top end. Run it till it dies, then put a LRP .28 in it and save your self some bucks right now.

And as far as upgrades, this is my new list. I'm building this to be bullet proof.

My list now Includes:
-FOC gears. (will have gear flip)
*All the HD skid plats/upper plates/chassis.
BAC link.
GPM bell crank
-Heavy duty diff cups
*Xray 35mm turnbuckles. (RPM arms)
*High performance brake pads
*Dynamite Engine brace.
*Wing mount.
New Era 3 point roll bar.
Lunsford hinge pins/ turnbuckles.
New Era steering hubs
-Aluminum shock caps and retainers.
Duel rate spings (need help deciding)

This will be done over a two month period but it will be unstoppable when it's done.

Well made an order today and now have about half my list. 202 dollars later.

So now I have, on order:

All HD chassis/upper plates/lower plates.
Wing mount
Dynamite engine brace
Xray 35mm turnbuckles.
High performance brake pads.

I need help deciding though on my shock set up. (Olds! I need you!)
I only bash, generally it gets some air but not anything major. No more then 5 foot really. I'm going to half to replace my Oil when i put the TiNi shafts in. And what kind of sprig should I get?

Like LosiLST said, Amain Hobbies isn't bad, but RcSlot is cheaper.:thumbup: That's where I get most of my parts, besides Horizon Hobby & my LHS because whenI bought my Aftershock from AmainHobbies, one of the seals was broken on the box and Horizon said that it was probably an open box......not to mention Amaain never does what they say they're gonna do !
