I don't think that is possible. It is not a sealed differential. Your best bet will be using grease to lube the gears. Refer to your manual as it says to use grease. At least on the LST manual it does.

That would be a very very bad idea. The LST2 has no center diff, so using silicone fluid in it would create massive drag on the engine and clutch.

Use a automotive lithium grease for the gears.

stick to what the manual tells you and you will be fine. if you dont have one, download it.

Mine just has grease and whatever comes stock in the diffs. Keep an eye on the trans bearings though. When I took my aftershock trans apart to flip the gears in it, I noticed the bearings were pretty sloppy and I had only run half a gallon through it.

i bought a bunch of surplus Army artillery grease. really hard-core stuff. i think ill pack that in there. as well as order some bearings.

Just a light coating on the gears. Anything else will just create drag.

After 8 tanks through my LST2 I have had to just break down the gearbox as she was popping into neutral, all the gears were fine, there was lube in the casing, but not much on the gears, and definitely no lube was on or around the forks.
Have repacked the transmission with new lube, not tooooo much!! lol and reassembled, once I get a chance to also replace one of my side rails I'll re-install and let yous' know if that fixed the neutral problem..... fingers crossed!!

Your problem is most likely the end points on the radio. Look in the manual for how to set up EPA(end point adjustment). It's been a while since I had a JR radio in my hands so I'm not much help there.

That will be my next point of attack if the tranny still pops into neutral.
As I havn't touched the radio since birth, and it just started popping out of gear after about the 4th or 5th tank.
My LHS is completely convinced its' due to the lack of grease in the tranny, specially around the fork, where it slides side to side on that little rail.
He says it doesn't come from the factory with alot in it.
I tend to listen to him after he just won the queensland championship with a stock out of the box aftershock!! against race prepared LST2s!!!!!

o.k. shes' all back together, the transmission, new chasis rail, and a new engine brace.
So I did a quick charger up of the battery pack got the manual for the radio out and started having a look at these e.p.a adjustments, but before I even began I noticed every time I turn the steering wheel to the right, not only does it stear to the right, but it activates the transmission servo, pulling the linkage down half-way, thus pulling the bloody thing out of gear!!!! LIKE WHAT THE???!!!
So I have reset the transmitter back to factory settings, and the bugger still does it!!
K guys put ya thinking caps on, and tell me whats wrong..... please

Did you verify that the both the transmitter AND the Receiver packarefully charged? If so look for metal to metal binding that may cause some glitching.Verify that none of the linkages are gettingin the way of each other that can pull or push against each other.

It could be the servos themselves. Before I replaced the radio in my buggy the steering servo would randomly glitch and go full right for a second. I replaced the servo and never had another problem.

You need to look at the part of the manual that says "Programmable Mixing". Somehow your reverse servo has gotten mixed in with your steering input.

That's my guess anyway.

my way

unlike allot of people i uses red gress you can get at any auto store i have used diff oils but i like the gress

ok, I reset my transmitter back to factory and it has now stopped doing wierd things, although reverse is now the C button on the pistol grip instead of A, doesn't really matter though.
Wish it would stop going into neutral though. A mate of mine told me to remove the OWB and clean it with brake cleaner, so have done that, and will re-assemble tomorrow and see how it goes
