Anyone have much experience changing oil from stock when running losi's yellow springs? I only found a few threads discussing the yellow springs, none of which discussed oil weights in the shocks.

I just got yellow springs for my aftershock. I'm running LST2 shocks with stock oil. I haven't run it yet, just installed the springs tonight. I'd like to know if running a bit heavier of oil helps with dampening or hurts.

I liked how the Aftershock handled with black springs/stock oil, but the bottoming out was pretty rough.

Thanks.

I'm running the yellow springs in my lst2 and I've got 50 in front and rear shocks. Only thing I've split front to back is I put the softer sway bar in front. No science behind it but it seems to be a pretty good balance of not so heavy that I'm bending shock shafts but not bottoming out too much either. Let me know if you come up with a better setup!

I would use 40-45wt. Any heavier and handling is affected to much IMO.
