RC Driving Style
I was about to get a revo, but some friends told me that the team losi lst is a great truck. which do you think is the best one cause lst is much more expensive than revo.

If I had the $$$ I would have a LST, has a great tranny has High and low gears nice engine and great radio gear, and it has sweet shocks, if you have the $$$ the LST is a great choice but if you dont you can't go wrong with the Revo,

depends on what you are gonna do.. revo.. race more then bash.. lst bashmore then race.. dont get me wrong then can both do both bt there already set up for a specific driving style so it would take more cash to get them to do the other.. revo is a good all around truck could race with minor upgrades and is tough.. lst is a basher would take alot of upgrades to race but it tougher and wont break as much

REVO.....I see too many LSTs come back to the LHS cause the tranny is screwed up...and these are brand new trucks people have broken in using only first gear....I don't know if they fixed the axle snapping issues on the LST either...

Revo for either racing or bashing. The LST is a cinderblock with wheels yet it's not that durable. At the local track the guys running LST's spend more time fixin' em than running. In race form, the LST just can't run with anything else out there. With a Revo if you put on the RPM arms and maybe a couple other simple and cheap mods it will be a reliable basher as well. With the LST your also paying more cause of the radio it comes with.

*****THIS MESSAGE IS 100% MY OPNION AND ONLY THAT**********
I would have to say the Revo. Costs less and from what I have seen can out bash the LST anyday. I have seen two LST's, the same day, at the LHS getting repaired for damaged transmissions. I have also seen them break those tiny A-arms on a single jump. I have bashed my Revo pretty hard and have only broke an A-arm and recently cracked the gas tank. I have gone two bashing sessions were the revo has not broke at all, and later the same day bring it out and drive it. And if it wasn't closed down, I'd take it to the track and have a ball. IN MY OPINION.....I choose the Revo.

EDIT
Besides the Venom Smart Temp and a Motorsaver, my Revo is stock.

After looking at the rustler and tmaxx I would say traxxas is a OK company but after seeing what the did with the revo I would give them 2 thumbs up. When vince got the revo I ripped on him for it saying it would be better and cheaper to get a savage. Traxxas is for newbies(lol) but after seeing that revo I would say it is allmost as good as a savage.

i would get the revo.,. i have a track at my place and the lst .... keeps braken parts.. stripping gear and hubs .. the revo had never had a problem. yet

I personally like the LST. The LST that I get to run is my brothers but damn it takes abuse just like the MGT. I do like the power that the Mach 26 puts out. The Slipper access is really nice. The Tranny fits it well IMO. You can upgrade them to withstand more but I have yet to see a problem. The bumpers do suck so that is a problem. The layout of the truck is different and IMO isn't the easiest to work on. Its up there with the savage and its TVP's But I am sure with time and working on it, the end user will get used to it.

LST all the way.... IMHO it will eat revo's all day. i HAD a revo and lots of money in it... and well it still can't touch the LST.... i have a race setup LST and a basher LST... and well i can throw some bowties on the basher and it still does well on a track. hte lst is a HUGE truck and it STILL can out perform smaller trucks in its class with ease. I admit it isnt the EASIEST to work and is KINDA like the savvy with teh tvp's as jon2 said. i see all these ppl saying there LST keep breakin well I'm a VERY HARD basher and dont seem to break much. the arms were a problem but u can fix them with the rpms, and the diff cases were a bit a prob. but stripping spurs and such isnt the trucks problem its your doings. ;)

I think it's that way with most people. Some people say the LST and the Revo are very tough trucks, and others say the two break alot. Hell, some people think the T-Maxx is strong in stock trim(me).

well the revo is soposed to be stronger than the t-maxx so maybe youll like that

Just remember that the LST is Mach 26 and the REVO is stil at a .15 type mill. Its still quick for a 15. If you drop in a OS 18tz I am sure it will give it a run!!!

now dont get me wrong.. both trucks are very very tough..... if u want a BIG truck with a BIG block get the LST... if u want something small and compact go with the revo. both are very race worthy, and strong... BUT my choice in them is a LST all the way. RC is mostly a OPINION type thing... u will get a differant opinion from EVERYONE.

ur dam straight.... the revo will most definately hang with a LST with that motor in it... Like i said tho R/C is ALL about opinion.. u will get a differant opinion from every... ie.... go to a LST site and ask LST or REVO?? every one will most probably say LST.... and go to the TRAXXASS forum and everyone will most probably say REVO... opinion opinion... but good luck with whatever truck u choice/chose..

Hang???? Maybe the LST will hang with the Revo on the track with a decent driver but where I'm running there ain't one LST that will hang, even with me running the stock 2.5r. Tuned right with a good driver, the 2.5r is capable of running with an .18 and good driver. Sorry dude but after watching today go, one LST packed and went home cause he broke and the other was getting lapped cause it was a sinder block with wheels. Yes I may be biased cause I own and race a Revo but I drove one of those slugs and...well...it's a slug.

Hey jet,

Are you using the stock steering and throttle servos?
No I'm using a JR 590 for throttle/brake and a JR 650 for single steering with the heavy duty option servo saver spring. Also did the cut and grind mods to give me more steering throw/travel.

i find ur WHOLE post FUNNY AS $HIT!! a stock revo is SLOW.... couldnt touch a mach .26 on its best day... the 2.5r runs hot.. wont hold a tune... and will have air leaks even whne it is sealed up. the best thing for a revo is to convert it to electric.
