i have a the original lst and i am looking to convert it to brushless using the mamba monster system. What conversion kits are there? I want to get rid of my lrp .28 motor. Any help would be helpfull.

not many,LST don't have too much space to put all the equipment that you need there...
you could possibly fit there Mamba Monster but there would be no place for batteries, seems like you will have to stick with nitro for a bit.

I found a conversion kit on fine design website that works on the lst with a neu 1515 and 1512 would this work with the mamba? I would only have to find a place for the speed control. I would have to remove the 2 speed right?
I would only need the motor mounts and battery holder. I would then just need to do something with the 2 speed. Any help would be greatful. here is the page, the parts are about 3/4 of the page down.

I wouldn't do that conversion because you are lengthening the chassis quite a bit and it looks retarded and will have horrible steering. I have seen many conversions for the LST out there. It can be, and has been done. But most that I have seen have been custom builds.

LSTForums.com is a very helpful place if you need to know a lot about the LST* trucks. They can tell you everything you need for your truck plus more.

The guy i got my f350 from has a converted LST, its badass, imma see if i can get ahold of him for you. Also, PM chip. He might be able to help you. He does all kinda conversions.

so its been about a year now, i got out of the hobby about 3 months after posting that and well i am back, i already have a merv, storm. But i still want a brushless lst, and more brushless conversions now? It might be for an orginal lst or lst2

i love my conversion. the thing is flipping fast. faster then the 60 mph. i got 2 3cell 40c 5000 mAh lipo in my truck. can't keep the wheels on the ground.

Where did you find the conversion?! Was it a bolt on kit or did you have to customize?! I've been interested in doing this to mine since i first saw a brushless motor in action!! Any info would be great guys!!!

I ended up doing a conversion. You can get the losi conversion kit, plus their single speed hub, forward only conversion, a mod 1 5mm bore pinion and your electronics and you will be all set.
I did my conversion a little different, a little more custom. I got the dudes motor mount, the dudes single speed hub, a foc conversion, a Rc monster battery box, pinion, and a mamba monster system. I love my brushless lst2, just make sure you shim your diffs very well. If you need info, just pm me .

curious what you brushless conv. guys opinions on swaybars.mine came without any.should just front due or is both needed for brushless?

i would say do both. the way mine runs, i would think it would drive a little sloppy with no rear one on and only front.
but i do see where your coming from on only wanting the one in the front. i say get both and if you wont like it take the rear one off and try it out. :)

yeah its kinda weird chrthoc.took it out and put it through alot of dif.landscapes and with just the shocks some tighter it handles flawlessly! huh! well over forty on pavement and thirty in tall grass,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,never once rolled.or even had a wheel come off the ground wrong.

Huh that is good to know. just for giggles i should take my sway bars off and see how it handles. :D

Id be curious to know how it handles with sway bars vs. w/o as I am working on an LST2 conversion myself and as of yet have not bought sway bars and was wondering if I should.

Yea i'll definitely let you know how it handles with them off. ;)

yeah i'm amazed and confused at the same time,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,my nitro with front and rear swaybars have already flipped, flopped alot.not the lst2-e!!! not even close once and i'm talkin blistering fast on pavement.

yeah i think it has alot to do with just a goddamn good design.my ofna lx1-e should of been born with wheels on its roof.its lighter but still,,,,,,,,,,,,,only when i stop though.the motor brakes are brickwall,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
