Put a link to the thread here so we can follow when you start the build. I like watching builds.

I'm about to take the LRP28S3 out of my aftershock and put it in my revo... will have to do some searching to find usable gearing. Tired of fighting with cheaper engines, the LRP was always so reliable. Would almost think it had OS stamped on the side. ;)

i can post the link here when i get started should be this next week!!!

i am also going to have to look in to what gearing to run. i have thought about just ordering a bunch of clutch bells, and some spurs. but from what i have read it should be in the 18/36 range?

hey have any of you guys used a vantage racing carbon fiber chassis??

I've only used the 2.5 and 3.3 stock chassis. With the weight of a big block... I'd stick with an alloy chassis or your going to run the risk of cracking your engine bay. Just a thought.

go big or go home and there is more then just idle and wot? LOL jk i get what you guys are saying i think i am going to go with the modded lrp .28 i can get and see how that goes if nothing else i can a sell the motor b sell the truck c buy the .30 for the price my buddy offered me this motor for i almost can't pass it up

go big or o home ( love this saying) ALL THEY WAY
I got a lrp.30 in my revo 17cb and 36 spur...:D

thanks i may give them a call on them tomorrow see what they say. i would think with the way the engine mount on the revo is more of the weight is on the bulk head then on the chassis but i could be wrong!

thanks!!! that's the gearing i was thinking about starting with on my revo.. do you have any pics of the .30 in yours?

18/36 gears will still give you mad wheelies. That's what i run with a sirio s27 mid block. My 454 (lrp z28 clone) would bury that sirio.

Olds, I wanna copy your lrp/revo mounting, gearing, and starter choices if you don't mind. I have a brand new 454 that I was saving for the xxl, but it might be a revo engine soon. ;)

New Era Leaner mount
Cut duratrax warhead header
Losi LST HT pipe
Pull-start

Not 100% sure what gearing I'll run yet. Not real sure what gearing I have on it now as I threw in a beater engine for winter, but never really had time to run it. Will have to see what I have laying around.

i can get a 34t spure if i need to. think i am going to just throw some thing at it and work up from there lol.

The carbon fiber chassis are not worth the expense for bashing. I saw one run by an experienced racer break in the first heat. Such language....
