Well, I have joined the ranks of savage owners, and I must say, I'm very happy... however I do have a question for the more experienced owners.

I have been looking at the low centre of gravity chassis as an upgrade for my savage, however, after some reading, the official kit from HPI does not support the roto start engine... this is a bit of a shame for me...

Does anyone know if this is a standard rule, roto start == no low centre of gravity kit, or if this is only directly linked to the HPI one, I have not seen any other kit mention anything like this...

Don't know, but you could probably get a tiger drive instead. Instead of sticking the shaft in the back of the engine, you stick it down from the top of the engine.

On the Vertigo Performance Race This LCG plates you have to grind some of the bulkhead away to make the roto start work. That is all I know about the LCG plates and rotostart. I used to have a Savage with the Race This chassis but I ran a pullstart.

According to Tower you just have to use a different rotostart back plate but only on a 21 or 25.

"To use a Rotostart with this chassis set you will need to order the
Hot Bodies Jump Start Plate - HBSC1316 for the 21BB and S-25 engines
The K4.6 engine cannot be used with a Rotostart on this chassis. You
will need to use a pull-starter."
