back again for more help! Wondering what would be the cause of my slipper getting so hot that the gear melted in the center where it rides on the shaft? Too Loose or too tight? Please let me know how you guys adjust the slipper and know its right for the conditions.
thanks
john

to loose the book says tighten down all the way and then back nut of 5 turns

Eddy has a cool method for setting the slipper that works great on the xxx-nt. On loose conditions, off road, hit the gas WOT. It will be hard to track straight on the punch. Loosen the slipper until it tracks straight off the line and is under control. I ended up about 1 1/2 turns out the last time I went.

I havent smoked a slipper yet, but too loose is what should have caused what happened to yours. Gotta love ALL THAT FRICTION! Yahhhhhhhhhooooooooo! Makes you remember why you got into this hobby in the first place.

The smell of burnt plastic and buring nitro fill the air
