Follow along as I design and manufacture a Squarebody Chevy body for the Losi Baja Rey 2.0

So far I have the front valence design done, I will test print tomorrow hopefully.

Will you be selling/giving out the CAD files? Looks awesome man!
Possibly, unsure as far as a fair price point goes though. It cost about 30 in materials excluding print failures and parts that didn't fit first try, and took me upwards of 24 hours worth of time designing. I was planning on selling the prints online as well at around the same price losi sells their bodies for the baja rey with one key difference: if you break mine I'll sell you just the part that broke. But again I'm not sure what a fair price would be. I plan on working on a V2 modifying this file in blender to smooth out some edges and add more fine detail.

I do that in fusion. As far as tutorials go idk, as I fusion is a pain to do complex stuff with and fitting this model into a tutorial would be a pain to do as a full time student. I do freelance tutor some though and will sell either prints or files once I have it dialed in..

I've not played with surfaces much at all in Fusion. Do you bring in sketches to work from? Or just freehand it? I have done some 3d sketches in Fusion, and personally, I think it's really clunky how you do that. But I've wondered if I was even doing it right.

I don’t use surfaces, too finicky I kinda block things out using extrudes and then chisel away at it until I get what I’m going for. Undo is your best friend. I modeled v2 entirely today, and it took roughly 6hrs non stop. If I’m doing something substantially organic I use blender.
