Loose carb HSN

Hi,

I've got a little problem with my carb. The vibrations of the engine make the HSN come loose. I tune the engine and start driving. I drive about 20 feet and it's already running rich.

Is there a solution for this? Or should I go out and by new parts?
 
Take out your HSN needle and bring the o-ring to a auto parts store. They should have a replacement. I did it and it works great still.
 
try wrapping some ptft tape around the o-ring. I do this with all the needles on my carb.
 
thnx for the replies, I replaced the o-ring and until now it's working fine again!
 
dont use plumbers tape. sometimes it works fine, other a loose piece of it can clog the fuel jet in the carb and cause a lean condition, if it goes unchecked it can ruin from lack of lubrication.
