Looking to Learn

ok, what I'm looking for is some reading on why you would need to adjust something. More of the Basic Racing idea.
WHY is the rear fishtailing, what adjustments are needed to improve and WHY!

I have a Nitro RS4 and have had it stored and apart for a little bit.
wanting to setup suspention and know why I have set something a serton way. I want to learn what to do when something is needed.
Not,

"Can someone give me a setup."
then not know why its set that way or not know what to do to adjust for something.

any links or printouts I can find and read?
