Looking to go brushless...

I am looking at some Rustler VXL's and I'm thinking about buying one and upgrading it big time...I really know nothing about these, however. (Nitro guy) What all would I need to buy, to get this thing performing to the max, or close to. I would like some battery suggestions, and whatever else I would need. Thanks for any help.

To start out with it i would go with a 5000mah or higher 2s lipo. Unless you wana go balls to the wall with this thing and go with a 3s. What terrain would you be running on? What do you like to do?? Bash, race, speed runs.......

Mainly parking lots and up and down my street. I don't really bash my vehicles, just small little jumps. How much would the battery you suggested cost me?

You can find one cheap like the orion 5000mah 2s, or the venom 5000mah 2s for like $120 ish new from a LHS.

with a 3s and alternate gearing 60. With 2s and stock, I'd say between 45 and 50.

I took my 8 year olds rustler VXL and put the cc 5700 esc/motor and 2s lipo, now the thing has a scary trigger but its a blast as long as you dont get too much traction. w/ 19/86 gearing it will go 58 according to the GPS.
