Thought you might be able to help with this. Kyosho doesn't use threaded shock bodies at all and I'd like to pick up a pair. The shocks that I'm currently using are from a 777 and they are OLD and BEAT UP. They still work for all intensive purposes but they need to be replaced and since it's so hard to find kyosho parts I thought it might be possible to mix and match. It currently weighs in a approx 8lbs and the front shocks are 100mm uncompressed and 80 compressed. In the rear the shocks are 120mm uncompressed and 90 compressed. The size of the shock body is around 40-55mm (rough estimate). In any case these shocks are not cutting the mustard. I'm bottoming out hard on big jumps (which I am being careful not to hit after I found this out). If anyone knows a brand (ofna, hpi, integy, Associated) that would suit then I am all ears. I also know jack and squat about shocks or how soft or hard they should be. I am bottoming out after a 1ft drop and I have the suspension set as hard with all of my spring spacers in. :whhooo:

One brand I would recommend against for shocks is Integy. I had a set of them for my RC18t and bent the shaft running on the street. No jumps and didn't hit anything.

Gotta agree with Hamz on this one. Integy shocks are some of the nicest looking on the market, but they belong on a shelf queen not on the track or street. I have some on my all aluminum T-Maxx, but like I said it is a shelf queen. Sorry Integy, not trying to pile on here but you make a fragile product.

I think I can find the oil.....but the preload clips aren't going to be easy. Everyone drifts around here. I've got one lady that helps us offroaders out but the rest won't order the parts because of low profit.

WOW.....great site!!!! I hadn't found this one before. I'm still looking at building the shocks but you showed me an awesome site for Kyosho parts....even though most of them are on backorder. Hopefully they ship to fpo addys. Thanx hamz
