OK i know there are posts that direct me to hop ups for the savage but I'm still a little stuck.

I'm running a stock savage 21 nothing changed at all , except a saver filter. OK great truck runs good no problems but :
i would like to upgrade it a little , I've looked around the sites mentioned in the posts above and I'm still none the wiser. Technical know how is not my strong point.
I think some dual disc brakes would be great and perhaps a tuned pipe and a steering upgrade BUT

I've searched and searched all over and cannot for the life of me find a site that has the savage disc brakes anywhere ( or ones that fit )
I really dont know what to order is there a package that you can buy that will include all the parts needed to install the disc brakes ??
also applies to the steering upgrade!

I'm no good at picking and choosing parts from different web sites and then assembling them all on the truck.
I know i sound like a real proper noob here !
basically i need something that i can get delivered with parts included in an almost ready to run package.
Also i think some of the problem as i am UK based , I've checked sites in the UK/USA and its information overload.
i even thought HPI might have a complete set you can buy but no its parts only.
The same question really applies to a tuned pipe , is there 1 that will give better performance, i think i can recall what I've read the HPI tuned pipe is good but loud as hell , again the noise isnt a problem the performance is.
but do you get a kit with the pipe that almost ready to run?

Again Guys thanks for any help

Brakes: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=87150&FVPROFIL=++

steering: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVSEARCH=87197&FVPROFIL=++

and I'd reccomend a new engine as opposed to a new pipe, get a new pipe later...

Unfortunately I don't know of any sites that deliver to the UK, but the links have prices, and part #'s...

And How CVEC said to get a new engine. since your a noob id get something like a sh .28, hyper 21 or mach 26. they are all very cheap All around 130
ALL EASY TO TUNE
(the Wasp 28 is taken as my favorite engine at the moment...Harder To tune than the other ones and more expensive i got mine for 159.99 At www.lightninghobby.com
Sh .28-120$
Hyper 21 turbo (GREAT ENGINE I HAD ONE)-130$
Mach 26 I've Seen For 139.99

You May Be Able To Find Them Cheaper...
And For A Pipe Go THS, Or CVEC. I'm Happy With My Ribbed Pipe Though. The Dual Chamber One Is Awsome. The Ribbed Is The Cheapest Also. So Id Go With A SH .28 And A Ribbed Pipe (just my opinion). get a Fail Safe too if you dont already have one..And A Starter box (if You Dont already have One. I HATE FIXING BROKEN P/S' On THE SAVAGE YOU GOTTA TAKE LIKE HALF IT APPART FOR A STUPID P/S I DID THAT PUT IT TOGETHER AND THEN WENT OUTSIDE TO START IT AND IT BROKE AGAIN!!! damn pull starters! The Hyper 21 has a bomb p/s tho.

Mark

I'm selling my hyper 21 if your interested..

the best thing I could suggest is to study up on how to work on that truck, it's not that hard once you learn it. In fact, its one of the easiest trucks I've ever had.

as far as upgrades are concerned, I'd change the motor, and the wheels. Other than that, keep it pretty much stock, and maybe a new pipe.

others: steering, hitec servos 645 steering and 625 for throttle and brake. A failsafe is always a must, also you might want a receiver pack. Venom makes a nice one and so does fasteddy. Adequate power will increase your braking ability. Beason can hit is brakes and flip the damn thing over. He doesn't have dual discs either.

The dual disk brake is a great upgrade and if you have had your truck for some time then it might needs some new brake pads. The pads will come in the dual brake kit

The Cam Style upgrade is also a good choice

Also consider a new High Torque Servo like the Hitec 645

Vantage Racing has some really nice pipes out that not only look great they also perform well
