Here's the deal, I got an RRP brake kit for my tmaxx. Problem is the kit was for a 2.5 and I have an old school maxx with the XTM BB conversion on it. The I.D. of the brake disk is bigger than O.D. of the drive cup on the maxx, so...........I'm in need of one drive cup for the brake that will fit a 2.5. Hopefully this will cure the problem and I can install my brake kit......

any other ideas would be appreciated.......thanks

The CVD drive cups are smaller than the Slider shafts. I had that same problem when i bought the RRP brake kit. It is for use only with the Stock sliders.

well........that totally sux.........

Exactly what i thought. Just get a Carbon Fiber brake disc and go back to the brake hex.

Umm I use mine on a set of MIP cvds in my stock maxx.......I dunno why yours won't fit....maybe the XTM set is th eissue

that must be it Plaid,I haven't got an MIP drive cup to compare with, whats the O.D. of the cup on your truck? I've got the traxxas CF disk with the RRP pads on it right now........seems to be working real good for now......thanks

Well, i think i found the solution... I had the same prob with my drive cup being too small for the brake disc (I'm using the UE drive cups all around), so i found the traxxas brake hex... There are 2 versions, one in the 2.5 version, and one for the older one with the smaller sized axles. I got the one for the smaller axles and it is the same size as the 2.5 one, but it has a semi-thin plastic ring inside to make it fit the smaller axles... I can't find the plastic thing alone, but it comes with this: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXSP69&P=7

Even though it says nothing about it, it does come with the plastic ring.
