Ok...So when I bought my LST XXL at a local hobby shop I had them order everything I needed. Unfortunately they order a few wrong things.

So in return all I get is a store credit no returns...go figure eh?

So my question is...should I take my credits and place them towards a replacement engine if mine should go belly up? (Considering all the abuse I have put mine through being a noob) Should I put the credits towards and upgrade engine or put towards the same? If an upgrade...what should I look at?

Any ideas? I have about a $70 credit.

Thanks

The LRP28S3 is a great engine for it, but I believe is being discontinued and replaced with the LRP30S2.

The stock XXL engine is supposedly a clone of the LRP28S3... so, if you really want to "upgrade", then get the LRP30.

The picco 28 is a really great engine as well that many have used in the LST* platform and savages galore. I have read many times that the picco out performs the LRP28 in both power and peak RPM's. Not by a huge margin, but has been noted that it is a stronger engine.

The picco may be more economical on fuel consumption over the LRP as well. I know both of mine are thirsty engines and suck up a tank pretty quickly. I run an LRP28S3 in both my savage and heavily upgraded aftershock. They have been really great engines so far. I have more than 4-5 gallons through the one on my aftershock and it's still a hell of an engine for performance.

Cool! I think I may look into the LRP30S2. So will I need to mod anything for it to fit, or will it just slide in?
