2wd Slash? If so, the Castle 3800 with the Sidewinder ESC is a sure thing. Pretty cheap too.

Once I get a new ESC my self which will be a 10BL120 G2, if ya still want it by then, I'll give you my current max10 SCT. But although you said I should save the ESC for a future project if I will ever have one.
