I'm selling my First RC Cars it was a Hot Bodies Tornado. :depress: . but I'm lookin for somethin' 2 win bak the roads but this time my princess must be a kit. I was think bout' the Associated TC3. I'm not real smart when it comes 2 finding the right on-road. Just want a car that is good 2 hit the parkin' lot w/ and some tuff parts casue I'm not easy on that throttle. :devious:

First of all, Nitro or Electric? If it is Nitro you want then the NTC3 is a great platform to start off. Great duratbility, Great option in the Team Kit. That is Shaft driven, and very easy to work on. You can try the MTX-3 by Mugen. I have heard great things of that ride but I have never owned it. It is Belt driven and people say that it is faster then Shaft driven. I can't say yes or no but the NTC3 can really kick ass with the right set up. YOu should find parts to be of abundance on the NTC3.

Associated TC3 is a good car. I've had some pretty big crashes and only broke minor stuff...nothing big. It's a great basher and great racer. So it's great for whatever level you're at.

If you're looking for a pure basher, you might also wanna check out the HPI Nitro RS43 SS. Good basher from what I hear.

There's also the Kyosho FW-05R. It's shaft drive like the other two mentioned above. R/C Touring car did a 10 car test and it came on top. But that was under race conditions....but i'm sure it's more than durable enough to bash with.

There's also the OFNA LD3. A clone of the Associated TC3.

Shumacher Fusion is the best basher IMO. High powered engine and with speeds of 70-80mph, you can't beat it.

Get the TC3 team kit my friend has one with the mugen x12 it is extremely fast

i am also new to nitro rc, and i just got a nitro tc3. the instructions are super easy to follow and the car looks bullet proof. there are also a ton of hop ups in both graphite and aluminum if you want to customize it. and you can't beat the price!!!

I have the MTX-3 and is a very good car. But if u only want it for parking lots go with the TC3. It's a good car and parts are easier to get.

jon2 , it has 2 be nitro.

also belt drive would be nice my old car was belt i dont really kno the pros. and cons. 2 belt vs. shaft. Anybody know ???

No slipping on the shaft versus belts but if you get a pebble stuck between the shaft & deck you will get some serious damage were on a belt it might just rip your belt which is cheaper than the shaft. It always comes down to direct snap response so it is very hard to say what is better

As far as belt vs shaft - For the casual racer, I doubt they could tell the difference. It has been my experience that an all out racer will prefer a belt drive, while parking lot racing or bashing will be better suited to a shaft drive.

The Shaft Vs Belt is always going to b in question. The question you really want to ask is what engine for each one. Also , Can you tune an engine to its peak? I still think that shaft is best for bashing. I have crashed my NTC3 tons of time and was still repairable or driveable. Nothing is bullet proof...or idiot proof.

jon2 what are u talkin' about??? u said which engine do i want.........does it meatter what engine that i get w/ belt or shaft ???

I meant as in speed. Sorry to drift into another facet. Most people may not feel the difference in speed as opposed to getting a stronger mill. I have seen the Yokomo GT 4 with the same engine I had the MT12 and it spanked me. I geared it high for the comparing. I was still spanked. Sorry for the confusion

y did the same engine bet u ??? better tunning ???

possibly as he got the same engine the same time. Go figure. He claims his is better but at that time I wasn't too concerned on the speed just the acceleration. He is pretty good at tuning. but he says that its because of the car too. AHEM...Bullshit....AHEM

I don't drive belt driven cars enough to know what makes what better. I just know that Shafts for me work as belts break from pebbles. Don;t get me wrong they still damage the gears on the NTC3. I know cuz it happened to me.

my first car was belt and i mean that thing toook a beating i flipped it over 200 times that i had it,hit atleast 50 trees, and went off roadin' (not on pupose, well sometimes) an a belt never snapped on me.......

I woud like to try out a Belt driven car if I find one cheap enough

i will sell u mine but i have 2 c if this other guy wants it casue it is @ my LHS and i kno the machince and he knows a guy who wants a used touring car......but if he dont want it ill sell it 2 u......everthing u need except a engine.

I will think about it. What do you have and how much?

it is a hot bodies tornado. i have this car over a year and it was my first nitro rc car (which means i couldnt drive) and i only broke a suspesion arm an a dog-bone popped out.it is a real tough car i was surprise. and my friend HPI would break parts if he hit a speed but,but i could hit a speed bump full speed and flip an wont break a thing except crack the body. I'm also selling it w/ extra suspesion arm, 3 dogbones, a .12-.15 pull start, and some more extra parts (i doubt u will need) sry but the stuff is @ me LHS on diplay. i will kno but tomorrow if they guy wants it or not.I'm selling it for 100$ (negotiable) w/out a engine. the engine had seen its days in is kno in pieces. if u kno how 2 put them bak together and kno how 2 sqeeze the sleeve i will send it 2 ya.i think thats all........any questions.......
