Man I know the feeling... I was mulching my flower beds and picked up a bag of mulch a carried it accross the yard to where I needed it. Little did I know that I had a hitch hiker about 3 inches from my hand. A black widow about the size of my thumb was clinging to the bag. poop man... the hair on my neck still stands just thinking about it. I think I mashed that thing so far into the dirt they wouldn't find it in china... I have those damn things all over the yard... the baby ones really freak me out. They are supposed to be more potent than the adults.

did you know that that spider that everyone is not afrade of.. the "daddy longlegs" as i know them.. is one of the most poisonous spiders one bite from that thing can bring down an elephant but noone knows it because they dont bite humans.. they can't.. there mouth is to small.. kinda freeky huh some of my cousins and and kids around the neighborhood would play with them when we were younger.. oh and i had a rather large spider on my ceiling the other night.. its wood and vaulted so i dont know how long he lived up there.. cause i couldnt se him he blended in.. i was watching tv and leaned back to stretch.. i was like wtf is that the i ran and got the broom cause i couldnt reach it any other way. knocked him down and smashed him to bits..

Yeah, I did know that, and it is a trip. Deadly poisonous but can't bite, what a waste, well good for us I guess, lol. I see daddy longleg spiders all the time here.

sort of like coral snakes...they can bite but they have very small mouths and can only get ya in between the toes and fingers.....I've held one and was sweating bullets while this guy was telling me all this......I heard the daddy long legs thing but thought it was a rumor.....I guess I'll google that one tonite.....friday is done and so am I....LATER....well for a few hours anyway

Didn't they do that one on Mythbusters? They can bite, they're just not poisonous. You get more irritation from a mosquito bite.

I'd like to thank everyone who posted pictures in this for the nighmares. I HATE spiders! Just had to spray the front porch the other night, because the big black spiders we get around here, were stating to take it over. I bought walked rigt into one's web, when I took the dog out.
