This particular question pertains to a 14.4 volt E Maxx, but the question may help more people here in the G.E. I just received 2 4600 intellect 6 cell packs for my E Maxx. They came with about 8 inches of wire. I was wondering if I should be concerned about heat/ resistance problems. I've always shortened all my wires as much as I could without noticing much of a difference in temps. But this is a little more wire than I've had on any other batteries. My soldering irons smoked. Is it safe to run them? This Maxx has the stock esc and two, 21t aftermarket motors. Thanks as always.

I figured it would be fine. No massive power draw on this thing. I'll keep my temp gun close just to be sure. Ever since I got that temp gun, I don't leave home without it!

I'm sweatin' a little bit of extra wire and my steering has a 1/4 turn of slop! Batteries won't matter much when the turnbuckles are the only thing holding the front end on! Seriously, I just get a little bugged out with new equipment I guess. I'd hate to ruin them. You guys pretty much confirmed what I was already thinking. Thanks for the input.
