When people say to locktite metal to metal screws do they mean locktite superglue?? I went out and got some gel locktite glue, did a little forum reading then came across a mention of thread lock. A little more reading later and it turns out there are different thread locks (red, blue)
So my question is what to use?

Loctite is a very popular brand of threadlocker... kinda how people say they need a kleenex when they need a tissue. It was recommended to me to use blue for most all metal to metal in the exception of very small screws such as set screws where it would probably be better to use purple (a little less strong than blue but strong enough for very small applications) I'm not sure that it's necessary to ever use red but I couldn't tell you from experience. Red is even stronger than blue. I'm in the middle of a building process and I've built and taken apart my truck quite a few times lately and blue seems just fine for most applications.

Thanks, i'll have to go get some.
Not sure what you mean by set screw. Is it what I would call a grub screw? If so is the blue gonna be ok for these. Is for the bit that fits onto the diff and the dog bone fits into on the main drive train of my PBS. This bits popped off twice now and I lost the bearing last time. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for your advice.

set screws and grubs screws are the same from what I know. the cylinder shaped allen head screws without a head to stop it.

just make sure you give it time to actually cure before using it. Otherwise it is useless
