good LiIons last longer than Lipos...
very famouse for transmitter (Multiplex) and receivers are the Konions here in Europe..
they don´t need balancing
they have the hard shell
they are very robust (even when discharged to 0V the often see no damage from that !)
they last VERY long (over 700cycles so far, still running good, in a funflyer as motor-batterie at a friend of mine !)
they have low selfdischarge (like lipos too) whats a benefit over NiMh
besides: Konion get better...
some people report, that they notice that even after 70cycles the batts still become better
on the other hand there are many Lipo-Users which lipos are already dead after 70cycles
It seems that lipos are lighter but li-ion batteries seemed to be used more in planes.
