I have a T-maxx TRX 2.5.

I have lots of fun with the Truck, But then I seen a 4 stroke (OS FS 40-cx I think) and the engine response was totally Linear... meaning that you can use the entire throttle.

(By Linear I mean it feels like an Electric... )

With the TRX 2.5, you can only use about the top half of throttle.

Is there any other engines (2 stroke for Tmaxx) that have this type of response?

Would going to a rotary Carb give this feel?

Would a Digital Radio (with Throttle curve settings) give this Linear Feel?

Most engines I see as a direct replacement for the TRX 2.5 are Super HP engines.. they are for RPM power not Torque.

Or will I stay in 4 stroke envy?

Anyone?

Higher HorsePower .15-.18 mills will in fact give you more range

Stick with a slide carb to use it

Digital radios can in fact give you better throttle control if you are finger happy

No - find a good .15 to a .21 and you will be happier

You just need a mill that has a hell of a lot more bottom end punch, this way you experience more power variation throughout the band.

Sound right?

Sounds about right. From what I've read, the TRX 2.5 is a racing engine meant to go fast, and it's tempermental. OS makes good mills, as well as other companies. I can't make a recommendation for the T-Maxx, but if you get a quality mill that has been recommended by the guys here, you can't go wrong.
