whats the usuall life of a 3.3 traxxas engine i have had my tmaxx for one year today and my engine has started to get very sluggish i am wondering is it time for a rebuild?

It would depend on several things. How many gallons have been through it, has it been kept properly tuned, or is it damaged from having been run too lean?
Has it had the filter cleaned regularly and have you used ARO when you put it away?

1 it was broken in perfect
2 never used afo
3always tuned perfect
4clean filter about once a gallon
5about 3 gallons have gone through it

now I KNOW i dont take very good care of it but it was running fun last time i check soo dont nag me bout that whole thing lol

Not using ARO isn't problem in my opinion, I don't use it myself and haven't had any problems.

Once a gallon may be stretching it for the filter, but it depends on your running conditions.

You say it was running fun the last time you checked, did it sit for while? It may just need some cleaning/tuning or new glow plug.

Haven't had a 3.3, but 3 gal may be all it was good for, engine life varies engine to engine. I'd try cleaning out the carb/fuel sytem and a new plug before going to the rebuild.

it the 3.3 is anything like the 2.5 you're about due...LOL....
just a side note...I notice alot of people seem to think tuning is something you do once and then forget it...you do understand how tuning needs to change with the weather right? it is not a set it and forget it type thing....
that being said try re-tuning from factory screw settings and what racer mentioned....using ARO IS important if you are putting your rig up to sit for any length of time.....a few days before running isn't really going to be too bad but a week or more can let oxidation set it and that WILL ruin your mill.......Marvel mystery oil works as an ARO if you want a good cheaper solution....I mix Automatic tranny fluid and ARO for my stuff.....costs about 15 bucks for a lifetime supply of ARO....
