Very nice. Is this for you?

Don't really know yet. I was hoping to do a few of these for the big Halloween race here next weekend but there does not seem to be any interest, kind of dissapointing. Originally I was just going to do this one for myself and race it but then I got to thinking it would be cool if I could get a few guys together to do a tribute as I was going to paint no charge just for the sake of it all. Unfortunately I got no bites on that offer so I'm not sure if I'm going to run this or maybe try to talk somebody else (a better driver who could better represent the body) to run it.

If you don't know what this is all about this should explain it all.

*edit*

Decided to ditch the hood logo. Felt too commercial, not a proper tribute. Name and dates will replace. Much better.

Damn Josh, great job! I bet you could sell that for a pretty penny too.

Looking good man....is the orange a bit brighter in person or is it kinda pale?

Yes, in person it is a bit more concentrated. Like any replica job you have to make a judgement because I can grap 4 different photos online and see 4 different tones. Just depending on the light situation at the moment the photo was taken. It's a bit of a toss up.

Actually, on Monday I posted on RCTech local forum that I would paint tribute bodies no charge for anybody willing to run the theme at the Halloween Classic race here locally. It's a pretty big local race. I have a couple to do this week. Considering the cause, to use it as a way to make a buck would just not be the right thing to do. That's just my opinion.

Mmm sexy, if I had a car I would pick her up if she was FS, great job man!

I actually have it for sale 'one day only' but only at the local track. Just enough to recoup the blank cost.

Sold the Mazda Saturday at the track for the cost of the body. The buyer also commissioned a 1:12 which he'll also be racing this weekend.

Excellent, again Josh!

Thats a badass lay down right there! Is it more orange, it looks really peachy. Looks great though nicely done.

It's the same color as the 1:12 scale a few posts up. The lighting just makes it look pale. I think this is the second time I needed to do headlights from scratch. Not too shabby I suppose. I just noticed noticed how that funny reflection makes it look like the grill is marred up. weird. The bed is actually pearl white/white carbon fiber. It doesn't show in the photo though. Should look great on the track.

Most popular r/c online retailers carry bodies as well. I get what I need from Amainhobbies usually, but that's here in the states. I have no idea of where you would get them without paying an arm and a leg for shipping.
