I posted a reply on another thread but didn't get a reply. I have a vertex .18 engine and I pulled it apart to seal it and now that it is back together the head wont seal and there is not much compression. I can see where the fuel is coming out under the head. What should I do?

From what I can tell HSP makes the Vertex .18 engine.

Did you make sure the head shim was there & in good shape?

If it is not there or is damaged you will need to replace it with a new one.

Yes it is a hsp. Are the shims hard to get off because it looks like there aren't any.

it turned out that some loctite had gotten between the shim and top of the sleeve and stopped it from sealing properly so i scraped it off and now there is no leak. Thanks for the help.

I started it up today and its the best its ever run
