If it's running good, leave it as it is. Most fuel has a synthetic/castor oil blend. Castor oil doesn't burn very well, it just lubes well. It also leaves a heavy varnish inside the engine over time which is why most fuel makers for land vehicles use a mix of synth/castor (I believe).
A light spray of oil when running is fine. If it sits for 20 seconds idling, the crank case loads up with fuel and causes a puddle as well.
Any idea what the temps at the glowplug are? If it's running between 200F and 260F during normal running, it's fine as it is. Just messy.
