Is it bad to land with the front wheels turned?

I've made a track in my backyard and I'm wondering if the jump (1/2' high) that I have close to a corner is what would've made my output gear fail in my 2055 steering servo. (what's the servo saver for anyways?)

Thanks for your input.

The servo saver is there to absorb shock, and take the load off your servo gears. You need to move your jump away from the turn. By hitting the ground with the wheels turned, you're putting more shock through the steering than ANY servo saver could take.

the stock servos won't take too much abuse...you should upgrade to a metal geared servo and the proline steering kit...it's a giant servo saver built into the steering link so you get more protection for your servo AND more precise steering to boot......
