Kyosho's New Buggy

It looks like they are staying with the stand-up servos. They moved the connector arm for steering input to the outside. It looks like they also changed the upper arm mounts in the front and the front brace goes back to the center diff instead to the chasis.:buggy1:

ok that definatly looks like a kanai 3, i wouldnt say its a new buggy.. but i am not sure

Probably a prototype for the K4 (who knows). The wheels I don't know if I like, Kyosho should just go with strait dish rims. I'm kind of disappointed with the rims that came with my K3, so far 2 are tanked but still kind of functional, and the Ofna+= tires that are on them are nearly new.

The brace design is ok on the K3, but for the price, Kyosho should have put beam type braces in instead of the ball end rod types.

A second brake disk on the rear would have been nice, or at least included a spare disk with a third caliper and two more pads. I might get the parts to put a second disk on the rear, just to make my throttle servo's life a little easier.

Other than that, I found the K3 to be a superb buggy to build and a dream to drive. I do know that Kyosho will put out quality stuff no matter what.

Didn't see that about the copyright. It looks like a revamped K3 that's for sure. I'm with Error401 as far as the rims are concerned. I guess that they are different from regular dish rims. Found the posting on the starting grid kyosho forum.

I can't really tell what is different. My eyes must be going bad. Aside from the rims.

Guess we will have to wait for more pics and bigger ones.

As for the copyright, most sites have the copyright as of the date the site was created.

Kyosho wont release a poopy ride so I look forward to it.

What ever it is it looks stronger than the K3. There is a cross brace in the upper front arms. I like that the front bulkhead brace goes back to the center diff instead of running down to the chasis.

I don't see anything about it on their english page.

It could have been that it was one of the prototypes for the K-3 before they settled on the current version.

the proposed new buggy will have a new name, i.e. it will not be called the 'Kanai 4'. We can also reveal that the new buggy will be showcased at the Shizouka Hobby show (13-16 May) in Japan.

Yuichi Kanai and Greg Degani are currently in Sweden at Furulund, and will be testing the new Kyosho with new parts.
Team Kyosho Sweden and Team Neo-Buggy drivers Linus Thern and Magnus Amilon will be on hand to help them with the testing.

The new Kyosho will feature:
- New suspension geometry
- New arms
- New Suspension
- Revised weight location on the chassis
Plus more!

Greg Degani will also be accompanied by Eduardo and Alberto Picco, testing and improving the Picco engines range, which he uses instead of O.S. engines.
