Bummer the ball studs are giving you a hard time! I never owned one of these. I don't know any tricks on it, yet. 😉🤣

I like the slipper idea. I might have to do a similar set up.

You can buy that Parma body at Team Blue Groove again now too. 😁

Cool vintage ride for sure!!!

Kyosho rules!!! 😎

the balls aren't stock. stock was a screw and fixed link. i robbed the stud and "adjustable" links off a Tower Hobbies ST15 (which seems to be some kind of Kyosho knock off) what was causing the issue is the thread pitch. the screws were a course thread and the balls are a finder thread. sticking the fine thread into a hole that had a course thread in it for 20 years doesn't work. i did buy a new Ultima rear bulkhead but for whatever reason didn't use it. i did things the hard way. filled the original with JB weld, drilled the holes out and threaded the ball back in. i also previously had conical washers between the bulkhead and ball, iv sense removed those to get more thread engagement. haven't driven it sense so idk if it's fixed, but it's different.

Team Bluegroove has been popping those bodies for years. i think Parma is back to making them again as well (Parma is under new ownership and is getting production up and running again). i need to see if Team Bluegroove makes the original body, i still have the original stickers and would like to do a box art body. last few months iv been looking for the unobtanium hens teeth known as the the chrome parts tree (headlights and taillights) but so far no luck (at this point I'm considering making my own)

MCI has repop stickers if you want a set for you runner bodies. 😎
They look so cool stock art form! 😍

I found I had to use the cone washers because the rod ends would bottom out on full suspension flex on the Mid. 😐

The body from TBG I was talking about was the ine I just donated to them. 😁
Its 258mm wheelbase. It might be too short for this car actually. 🤷‍♀️

I loved watching the vids! The gears, running sounds are AWESOME!!! 👍

(I'm still not so sure about the Kyosho song tho!🤣)

when i do a box art body I'm going to scan my originals stickers and and print my own repops. I'm saving the original stickers for an original body if i ever find one.

i don't remember why, i just remember when i threaded the balls in after removing the washers i did leave some space, i didn't thread them all the way in. we'll see how that plays out next time i run it. (4th of July weekend maybe)

i just checked ebay and TBG has 2 body's listed. looks like the Stadium Baja body. i think it used the same body as the Field Baja.
ill be damned if i could tell you the difference in these bodies

I think they might have refinished some of the areas where chome goes. One is true to Kyosho original, other one is for (most) ppl who can't find the chrome bits. Its a finished body so the car doesn't look like its missing stuff but still looks right is what I'm guessing.
I am using a crap phone screen so I can't tell much other than guess at that.

It would be cool to see your printed stuff done and installed too!
Maybe order one of each?!😎🤣

I hope we get to see more vids! I obviously have a slight Kyosho addiction. 🤣

This one is fun to watch! 😎👍

the only place chrome goes is the headlights and tail lights. and they used the exact same photos just with slightly different titles. only thing i can think of is maybe the wheelbase is different and they just used the same photos to save time expecting the buyer to know the difference. idk.
