I havent run any of my rigs in almost 2 years now. (Parents passed, got married, moved twice, bought house, had child, new job, motherinlaw sick and now living with me...AAaaarrrrrgh)

So, I'm "FINALLY" going to have some time to myself this weekend and most weekends to follow and wanted to get the ST-R running and tuned. I have a brand new Ninja Engine (was only out 1-2 months when I first bought (goes to show you how long its been)) and I AFR-ed and sealed it before storing it away. It looks to be in perfect shape, no rust, no dust, brandie new looking.

Anyway, so whats your opinions on the ST-R now. Still a viable contender if I can find the time/parts to race it this year? or should I start looking at another rig? I can't find almost NOTHING for it online but tons of 777 stuff.

Just like any K ride..they came out with the ST-RR. Its longer and has the nice Big Bore shocks now.

I am not sure if you will miss them. The STR is a pretty nice ride especially with the MR Ninja going in it.

Surprised that you have not been able to find any parts for it. The ST-RR is not that new and the ST-R is not that old.

amain sell the strr upgrade kit for a real deal, the only other up grade you will need to save you alot of trouble would be the diff gears as the str has a weak point there.....hit up a main I think the kit is only 160 or somthing...well worth it,i had the str and now I'm building the strr for the spring season!!!

I have an STR and will not be upgrading to the longer chassis anytime soon. I would like a set of big bores, but that is about it.

I was reading that one of the pro’s recently won a major race using the original chassis. It all depends on track conditions and driving style whether you will benefit from the longer chassis.

Amain is a great source for Kyosho parts and upgrades.
