kyosho k3 diff?

i have a k3 and have been using the red diif oil in the front lsd. i have read diff. setups 5-7-1, 2, 3 or 3-7-3 etc. can I just use diff oil in the front or do i need another diff. would you replace the lad diff or keep running it? thnks

the red oil is just for the lsd diff,you can replace the bevel gears and shafts inside the front diff to make it a standard diff, to try the other diff oil set ups.i personally would take the lsd out and replace with a standard diff,i had push in the car i couldnt get out till i replaced it.the 5,7,1 diff set up works well.if you want to email me i can give you a great set up to run in the kanai 3.

thnks for the info. just started rebuilding the diffs I have 2 k3 and a K2 so I am going to set them up with different oils. In my front I noticed I had snapped the pin that holds the gear to the outdrive. thnks

I need help with the diff pin. The person I bought the K3 from added longer outdrives to the front diff. THe pins I have are too large to fit the outdrive hole. He doesn't remember changing them but he definately did. There black in color and are about 2 mm longer then the stock ones. The pin is smaller in diameter then the stock diff gear pin. I have another k3 as a parts car and he definately changed them. If anyone has done this mod to keep their front dog bones from falling out please help me out. thnks
