Build Showcase Kyosho Javelin

My very first real hobby grade RC was an orange Javelin back in 1986. This is a re-release.

OMG@Javelin!!!❤️❤️❤️ Way back when, before I bought my first Hornet, I would drool over this thing in r/c mags!
Your's is WAY cleaner than mine!
You inspired me to dig it out and at least make it pretty again! Thanks!

Btw, I must have changed out the Tekin for a Novak cuz there it is! Lol!

Nice rig! I can't wait to hear all about it!!!

Thanks Mike. When I was 15 or so, after drooling at pictures of the Scorpion and a few other buggies in my dad's Tower Hobbies catalogs, I began saving my money. I worked in my dad's woodshop and saved every penny I could. I bought one of these beauties as soon as I saw it show up in the catalog. I later sold it to buy my first car. Dumb move, but I was a kid.

I spent the last few years trying to find this re-release kit in stock with no luck til one day I found this one in Germany. A friend bought himself one and shipped me this one for my birthday ❤️

It brought back memories I didn't even know was still there when I put it together. My all-time favorite RC 😉
