With all the media hype on Iraq, Has any one been paying attention to Korea?

They already have nukes and have just pulled the cork off of their Gennie bottle of Plutonium enabling them to create 4-5 new weapons in the next few months, and many more to follow.

We have re-deployed a significant amount of our military resources to that region.

North Korea = China.

The Defense Secretary announced that he believes we can fight a multi front war and be quickly decisive in both.

Any thoughts on this subject.

Over the weekend, North Korea began removing the U.N. seals and surveillance cameras from three Soviet-designed nuclear facilities that could yield weapons within months.

Of particular concern is the reopening of a storage area holding 8,000 spent fuel rods that contain enough weapons-grade plutonium to make several atomic bombs. U.S. officials suspect that North already has one or two atomic bombs.

North Korea issued another dire warning Tuesday, saying Washington's hostile policy toward it would backfire and result in "an uncontrollable catastrophe." The statement by the North's communist party organ, Rodong Sinmun, was carried by the foreign news outlet Korean Central News Agency.

Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld warned Monday that the U.S. military could simultaneously take on both Iraq and North Korea.

Agreed on that maxxC

As far as Korea this is a very unfortunate time for this but ofcourse they chose thier timing wisley for them not us. As far as us being able to fight a war on two front boy I dont know about that my understanding is it truley takes 2 years to make a soldier productive and a good fighting machine. I may be wrong on that but I dont think so. Unfortunatly we just haven't had enough time to rebuild are resources that that Di CK head clinton ruined. He slased the military to death. When are these damn democrats gonna learn we need a big strong military. After world war one we learned that we needed a military that was large enough to protect the homeland and fight on two fronts. I really hope the reason we have taken so long to blow the shiet out of iraq is because we were planning on the korea deal also not jsut that we didn't even have the man power to do the iraq thing.
This is very dangerous for us we dont want and shiet with china. Cause the reality of it is. We can't drop another bomb now, too many people have them now. Anyway I just pray that God watches over our country and our military because we have some very tring times ahead of us. X

To answer your question Eddy, YES.

Can we handle the two front thing...YES.

Will it be easy...NO.

Are we prepared to push the BIG red button...no one is, but there are always plans in place to insure it doesn't get that far.

Will we mix it up with China...not in the near future, and not ever if it can be helped.

Is our military the strongest in the world...YES.

Are we ready for anything...YES...warheads on foreheads...that's the name of the game.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Korea is 'playing the game'.

This didnt start yesterday. Its been there for a long long time. Just everyone who wasn't paying attention is starting to catch on.

As far as I'm concerned, Korea has been nuclear since before today. ICBM? No. Suitcase? Have been.

Would they? NEVER!

In the house of the merry, all know the choices in which they make. As well as the consequences they would render.

Sadam is somewhat more frightening in my opinion. We have already TOLD him we arent going to stop until he is 'removed'. Hmmm, what would you do if you knew 'the force' was coming to kill you? Especially if given ample time to prepare......

And he has been told, like the last time, if a single bio or chem cell even so much as contaminates one of our own, BYE BYE BAGHDAD! Ari Fleischer just reitterated that point no more than two weeks ago. Again, the consequence factor. But he's already a dead man walking......

Like Sky said,

Merry Christmas! Take the time to appreciate what you have and who you have.

In a deal with the United States in 1994, North Korea froze its plutonium-based nuclear program in exchange for foreign energy supplies. Earlier this month, it decided to restart it after Washington and its allies halted oil shipments as punishment for revelations in October that North Korea had moved forward with a second nuclear weapons program that used enriched uranium.

This is what I don't get.
How does the lack of Oil translate into starting up a reactor?

N. Korea has one of the most elaborate Hydro-Electric grids in the world. From what I understand they have a HUGE surplus of electricity. This is the reason they choose to shut down their reactors in the first place. Now to say we need the reactors. Your cars don't need them and your houses and industry don't rely on fossil fule.

Sure.....

Maybe they plan on running more electric cars and need the power from the plant:wtf:

Well it looks like N-K is playing its next card by putting MGs in the DMZ.

I am going to politely bow out of the political discussion in a public forum. My opinions would probably offend most. .....maintaining composure.....

In a nutshell, I'm wreckless.

Nuke the bastards!

Your right I am offended, I thought you would be more colorful with your response.

This whole situation is just pissing me off. I feel on one hand, we started it, then, on the other, are they out of their mind doing what they are??!?!?!?!?! Its like saying "Go ahead! Do it! *****!" and then expect us to just sit back.

I honestly think that when we are done in Iraq, we MAY, and I emphasize may, just go back in to N.Korea. By no means would it be a walk in the park. And if ANY country wouldnt be afraid to use nukes or bio its them!

I just can't believe that we have stayed there as long as we have and not have a single hand helping. Then, when it hits the fan, who is going to be there?!?!? But almost everyone agrees SOMEONE needs to be there and do it. Why is it JUST US!?!?

Now I'm pissed again........ I'm just going to shutup or I will go on and on and on.

Like I said, just Nuke the bastards and be done with it!

i know a good idea to just give them a little scare

send them taps of what we build for fun lol poop we build monster trucks just to play around, we break speed records for the hell of it, we send people into space,

now think of what we could build when they piss us off lol

ahh hell smoke em burn the basterds to the ground and piss on there lawn

violence isnt it fun:angry:

get up get up get up drop the bomb shell get up get up this is outa control

lol power man 5000 made that song for a reason

Ya know, I bet if we get Sean Penn to take a trip over there, we'll all see that we're just overreacting. That N. Korea is actually a great place. Full of sunshine and daisies and that the evil American Empire is just looking to bully yet another poor defenseless tiny country for their lunch money.

Prick!!!
