i have a RS4 rtr3, What are the best kind of tires for hot weather.... what are the best tires for cold weather??? rubber or foam.... what brand..... what kind of insert's???

Depends on the track. Where do u run at? And where in Jersey are u? I run foams all year round and depending on the track surface, I choose the shore of the tire.

what would be the best rubber tire to use between 70-85 F the place i run is pretty smooth (and somtimes slick) most tires i get just seem to slide really bad on it.....

Have u tried running foam tires? IMO they grip better to the surface.

I have an RS4 3, and I have to agree with Team 17, try a set of foams. I used to run rubber all the time, could never find ones I really liked, so I decided to try foams. I think the foams are much better than rubber, they definately seem to hook up better, and handle better imo.

well I'm just bashin most of the time so I'm assuming that the foams would chip pretty easy........ btw if i do go with foams what kind of shore am i gunna need?

i live in south jersey close to cherry hill, i usally run on parking lots with newer asfault, I'm runnin foams right now... j/w if there's anything good like a nice set of rubber tires w/ some inserts or something

For bashing tires, I liked the HPI M compounds. I ran them for 1 gallon of hard driving before I wore a groove in the middles. They last long and are good tires for playing around in parking lots.

I have these V-grooves now. They're a little softer so they grip better, but that means less tire life. They haven't shown as much wear as I expected so far though.

I want to try some Medial Pro IASs in 'hard' compound. I hear they last a really long time and offer good grip. And, instead of using foam inserts, they have an inner honeycomb design that supports the tire. The foams in my rubber tires sometimes bunch up inside the tire and leave soft spots.

If u run on parking lots, I'd say 40 or 42 shore should be fine.

check ebay out, search for RJ Ride. I've been running thier super nitro tires this year G35 compound for hot weather. they hook up very nice on unsealed asphalt. I've tried foams but they just didnt handle the way i liked and ultimate grip just wasn't there. the nice thing about foam tires is, that as they wear they compensate for minute faults in your alignment. so if camber is off slightly, they will actually wear till the contact patch is correct. while this isnt the right way to do things, it is effective. also if you decide to try foams remember to use about a 5 shore rating softer in the rear than the front. as for the rj rides, I've been buying them up every time i see them on, at 20/shipped for all 4 tires. when i pay 60+ for the kyosho equivalent in the hobby shop. they can't be beat. they grip just as well if not better than the kyoshos and wear is just a little shorter. good luck with whatever you try. id try them all if i were you, just for experiences sake.

I'm trying out a pair of Pro-Line S2 Vrage tires havent had a big complaint with em yet, but i only got about 20 minutes out of them before i destroyed my front diff housing :(

curbs and front housings = bad
jumps and rear housings = bad

You can also try takeoff 27s we run those on asphalt tracks
